Moments to Remember

Analiese told me she hopes she has someone to teach her like me when she is in college.  I said you mean like a professor?  She said no, having someone like you in Cru.

Alexa told Colin he is the best brother ever.  They laughed and played a lot today at home, at the ice rink, at Panera, and in the car.  So cute.

Colin made a cheer up for me...
Who (clap, clap
Do (clap
I (clap
Love? (clap
YOU!

End of the Summer Memories

When we first started school the kids were extremely excited about playing with clay.

This is Alexa's birthday party at Performance Gymnastics.  She had a great time with friends from church, gymnastics, and homeschool group.

Casted and Celebrated

Colin did actually break the growth plate in his left ankle 3 weeks ago.  We thought he sprained it (confirmed also by the doctor).  Jeff just didnt think that was right so we went an orthopedic and sure enough...broke.  Casted that day and off we went.  He has felt pretty cool having a cast but more so he said he is glad not to be in pain!  We celebrated Alexa's bday with Grandma and Grandpa last night...lego friends and a sweet pillowcase!  Daddy took her to get her ears pierced Saturday for her bday too...she is thrilled to have had it done! She can't wait to try out her new earrings several weeks from now!

More Birthdays!

Analiese's party at Performance Gymnastics.  Some of her dearest friends got to be there! Alex, Tierney, Jasmyne, Hannah, and Sofia.  It was an awesome party!  Josie and Maggie couldn't be there : (

Alexa jumped off the diving board at swim lessons!

Alexa wanted to spend the day with her friend Addyson from her gymnastics team.  We got candy at Party City, went to the mall and picked out earrings, played at Orchardly Park, had lunch at Panera Bread and ice cream at Ritter's! Such a fun day!

Colin's 8th Bday & Just Life

On Colin's birthday he wanted three things. He wanted ffried dough for breakfast, steamed artichoke for lunch, and crab legs for dinner.  And that's what he got. Had a great day despite a sprained ankle. He has enjoyed his caramel apple suckers that he got from grandma for his birthday along with some TLC in the wheelchair. He said something that was very touching as they headed home from dinner that night. He told Jeff that money was the best thing in the world. Jeff said he wasn't sure if that was true.  But Colin said oh yes dad it is. You can buy children like Claudy. And you can buy Bibles.  Pretty good for an eight-year-old.  While Brandon was away on his mission trip, Colin and Alexa enjoyed their many sleepovers.

Other things we have been doing are…
Lots of drawings by Analiese, a replaced faucet, keeping up with chores (Alexa does an amazing job), and trying to enjoy everything summer!

Mom and Dad Doeringer's 50th Anniversary Celebration

Christy spearheaded this very special event this year on family vacation.  Mom and Dad renewed their vows with Jeff officiating.  It was complete with 10 kids in the processional, reception, dancing, heartfelt sharing (lots of tears), movies of their wedding, and flowers...it was beautiful and very meaningful!
